Each year, Climate Week in New York City brings together global leaders in business, finance, policy, and technology to accelerate action on the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges. Carbon X is proud to be part of this conversation, showcasing how methane abatement from legacy oil and gas wells can be scaled into a high-integrity solution for both climate and capital markets.
During Climate Week, our team engages directly with corporate sustainability leaders, institutional investors, and climate innovators to highlight the unique role of carbon credits generated from permanent methane abatement. With millions of legacy wells across the U.S. leaking harmful methane, we show how carbon markets can transform these liabilities into verifiable climate assets by delivering immediate, measurable impact while supporting long-term sustainability goals.
Carbon X contributes to panels, roundtables, and networking forums where we share our expertise in:
Our presence at Climate Week also reflects the strength of our collaborations. We actively engage with organizations such as BDO, Turtle, Triangle Digital, Infor, Well Done Foundation, GSE Markets, Rockwell Automation, Cloverly, climate policy groups, and sustainability leaders including JPMorgan, Microsoft, and Amazon. These partnerships amplify our ability to connect field expertise with market innovation—accelerating solutions that merge environmental integrity with real-world scalability.
By connecting with global stakeholders, we are expanding the reach of our mission: to permanently eliminate methane emissions from legacy oil and gas infrastructure while creating a scalable, market-driven path for climate finance.
Walker Ranch: A Model for Methane Abatement In Central Texas, Carbon X has launched its largest field initiative yet: permanently sealing 24 legacy wells at Walker Ranch. Once some of the region’s worst methane emitters, these wells are now part of a groundbreaking project that combines advanced leak detection, high-standard plugging, and prairie restoration. The result: verifiable carbon credits and a replicable blueprint for tackling the 300,000+ legacy wells across the U.S.
Carbon X at NAPE 2026 Carbon X will be in Houston February 18–20, 2026, as an exhibitor at the North American Prospect Expo (NAPE). We’ll showcase our latest methane abatement projects, cutting-edge permanence assurance methods, and turnkey carbon credit solutions. Visit our booth to learn how we’re transforming legacy wells into high-integrity carbon assets.
